Empowering Children Through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Movement

One-on-One and Group Lessons for Neurotypical Children and Children with Special Needs

I offer personalized Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction designed to support the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children—both neurotypical and those with special needs. My work combines years of experience in grappling arts with a unique foundation in developmental learning and integrative movement education.

About Me

With a background in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, wrestling, and judo, I’ve trained extensively in the grappling arts and developed a deep respect for the transformative power of martial practice. Beyond the mat, I’ve spent years working with children through the Anat Baniel Method: Neuromovement®, which extends the principles of the Feldenkrais Method to help children with special needs access their full potential through gentle, neuroplasticity-based movement.

I also bring a rich background in philosophy, mathematics, chess, music, and acting, which has deepened my understanding of how learning occurs across different domains of life. I draw from these disciplines to cultivate curiosity, self-awareness, and resilience in my students.

My Approach

Each child is unique, and my teaching honors that. I tailor every session—whether individual or group—to meet the needs and goals of the child. My approach is rooted in:

  • Safety and trust as the foundation for learning

  • Movement as a gateway to improved coordination, confidence, and self-regulation

  • Play and curiosity as central tools for skill development

  • Awareness-based learning that supports neurodevelopment and fosters independence

In a session, your child might explore balance and body awareness through structured drills, creative play, and meaningful partner interaction. We use Jiu Jitsu not just to learn a martial art, but to build capacity for focus, social interaction, problem-solving, and emotional resilience.
